Bosch Siemens Küchen

The basic principle of controlling a stove with physical knobs has not been modified for decades. A paradigm, which has been left behind in the past years since every prominent manufacturer, tries to establish its own approach. I wondered how the newly established gestures of touch-driven smartphones fit into this context. As a consequence the resulting interface uses a scaled representation of the actual surface of the stove. Thus it allows new natural gestures, which meet the biggest advantage of the traditional stove control: The blind handling (especially in stressful situations.)
